Mt McKinley is one of the coldest most weather
beaten mountains in the world. The mountain is
characterised by extremely cold weather due to
its high latitude, and its proximity to the jet
stream.

Mount McKinley is located in the central portion
of the Alaska Range, which spans much of south
central Alaska. It is approximately 130 miles
(209 km) north-northwest of Anchorage and 155
miles (249 km) southwest of Fairbanks.
